Welcome to ASME at UMD

Founded in 1880, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), is a not-for-profit professional organization promoting the art, science, and practice of mechanical and multidisciplinary engineering and allied sciences throughout the world.

The ASME Student Section at University of Maryland is dedicated to helping its members build the leadership, teamwork, and social skills required to be a successful professional in today's work force.

If you are a new or current member to ASME at the University of Maryland we strongly recommend you join our national division here. In doing so you receive E-mentoring, access to the ASME E-library, Career resources, a subscription to ME Today, and many other benefits. Be sure to renew each year to continue your national membership access.
